Counselling with Johanna
Your space, Your time

Life can sometimes feel like a lot to carry; confusing, overwhelming, or a though you feel stuck.
You might find it hard to pause, to really check in with yourself or put into words how you’re feeling.
Counselling offers a gentle space where you are invited to slow down, be heard, and begin to make sense of your experience. You don't have to have the right words, we can find them together.
I offer a calm, relaxed and caring environment, whether in person or online, where you can be exactly who you are without fear of judgement.
This might be anxiety, grief, loss, depression or any other feeling that feels overwhelming or has got hold of you.
Together, we will explore what matters most to you, moving at a pace that feels right and natural.
You are the centre of our work together
We all carry stories shaped by our experiences. Sometimes it can help to pause and reflect on those stories in a safe and supportive space.
I aim to create a safe, calm, and non-judgemental space where you can bring yourself fully and be met with care and understanding.
You decide what you want to share, and when you are ready.
Our relationship is key. Through the trust and connection we build, you may begin to find clarity, insight and a sense of direction to move forward.
I believe in walking alongside you, not fixing or labelling, supporting you to engage; your way, your pace, your flow.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, Person Centred, CBT, Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis to name a few - always guided by you and what is most supportive for you to uncover your inner strengths and build a life that feels authentic and meaningful to you. Our work might explore the past, gently looking at patterns or coping strategies that have developed over time. At other times, we may focus more on the present, deepening your understanding of what you're experiencing now. Or we may spend time exploring your dormant potential which is awaiting to be unlocked.
Don’t push
the river;
it flows by itself.

My background and story
Moving to London in my early twenties was both exciting and challenging. I experienced what it can feel like to be in a new place, navigating change, loneliness and questions of identity; whilst adjusting to significant change and a fresh start.
Learning to challenge patterns and say no helped me recognise my own worth and continue to grow. This journey deepened my understanding of how it can feel to be lost, and how meaningful it is to find your own way.
Throughout my career, whether teaching, running restaurants, or supporting and training teams and managers, I have always been drawn to working closely with others and supporting them to grow and reach their potential. I look to bring warmth, openness, and curiosity to my work and I value each person’s story. My aim is to support you in finding a greater sense of ease with, balance, and connection with yourself; at your own pace and in your own way.
